The study of infra red photography presents a fascinating insight to a vision beyond our own, and I’ve used colour IR film also which has another world of it’s own.
Using a full red filter and without, and changing the developer mix produces quite a range of effects with B/W infra red film. I’ve used it with nudes and skin becomes flawless, all blemishes are filtered out, eyes become black, can be spooky! Green foliage turns white, making plants and trees look spectacular
Aside from it’s intended purpose of aerial photography, colour IR produced wild results for me. With colour green foliage turns red, and skin just looks awful!
